2% Not Enough

There’s a global push toward biofuels—to supplement our huge appetite for oil and gas, but the biofuel industry in Canada is lagging behind other countries. Biofuel Canada, a Calgary-based company, is working to improve our position in the industry. President Peter Sydoruk says it’s up to our government to lead the way and adds while passing a fuel mandate requiring a 2 per cent biofuel mix by 2012 is a start, it’s not enough.
